TeXplore kicks off in a big way this month, and we are hoping you can help spread the word by sharing the attached Girls Who Game poster with key educators and school leaders of girls in Grades 6–10 attending the pilot schools and their parents or guardians.

This TeXplore opportunity brings girls together to work across districts in New Brunswick to build confidence, creativity, coding, and teamwork skills through Minecraft Education. Four face to face learning sessions will take place on non-instructional days in the following:

● October 23: Carleton North β€” Veysey Active Living Centre

● November 2: Moncton β€” District Office, 100 Westmorland Street

● November 27: St. Andrews β€” location TBA

● December 4: Bathurst β€” Ampere MakerSpace

Participants are expected to attend all four sessionsβ€”one in person in their community and the others from home online β€”followed by a final celebration at UNB Fredericton in February (participants can join virtually or in person). Sessions will run from 9:30 to 3 each day, with a one-hour lunch break (lunch will be provided for on-site partipants)

Note that these are primarily pilot PL days so students will need to be enrolled at a school involved in the pilot school intitiative.
