We are excited about our Christmas Concert this Monday, December 15th at 1:00 pm, and we need your help to make it a wonderful experience for all performers and ensure a safe, orderly dismissal afterward. We would appreciate your sharing this information with friends/family members that may also plan to attend.
Important Notes:
- Students will not be released from their teachers between 12:45 pm and the end of the concert, which we expect will be 2:00 pm.
- Please plan to stay for the entire concert. If you must leave early, your child will follow their regular end-of-day dismissal routine.
If you plan to take your child home after the concert:
- Send a note on Monday morning stating your intention to pick up your child after the concert.
- Remain in the gym for the entire concert.
- After the concert, go to your child’s classroom.
- Do not take your child from the hallway—please check in with the teacher at the classroom door (make eye contact or speak to them).
- Once the teacher releases your child, you may leave.
Parking and Safety:
- Parking options: along Burtt Street, in the staff parking lot at the back, on the flagpole side of the front driveway, or along the ‘grass’ on the OPC side of the property from the main road down toward the dumpsters at the back. Centreville Baptist Church is allowing us to use their parking spaces as well.
- There is no parking in the bus loading zone.
- Buses will load and exit between 2:25 and 2:30 pm. The area along the soccer field side of the front driveway must remain clear for buses, so only those who know they are going to make an efficient departure should consider parking there.
- The school side of the front driveway is a fire lane and must remain clear for emergency vehicles.
