In an email to Cougar Families on April 21, I shared that our school has been selected as one of a small number of schools in Anglophone School District West to serve as a prototype site for the provincial reduced-fee school lunch program, and that more information would be shared in May. I also shared what this means for Centreville Community School:

What this means for Centreville Community School:

  • Students will have access to a reduced-fee lunch option at school.
  • Meals will be prepared by Ramada and served fresh to students.
  • Families may continue to send lunches from home, as usual, if that is their preference.
  • Lunches will be ordered through an online ordering platform.

As we transition from how we β€œdo lunch” now to what it will look like as a prototype school β€” and toward full implementation in the fall β€” I recognize there will be many details to share. I also know that reading long emails is not for everyone! To support your understanding of these changes and what we are learning along the way, I have created the first of a few videos that I will share this week.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to press play.  https://youtu.be/hOfv7LMp7aY
