Good evening, Cougar Families. Here are important things to note about this week at CCS:

1. Monday is a unique day. A detailed email was send on Friday. The short-version recap is:

  • All K-8 students are traveling to CNHS for the Chris Hadfield presentation for the morning.
  • No photos or videos are permitted. Suggested to leave devices at home.
  • Bus leaving for home at 11:30. Please communicate any change of end of day plans in agendas or written note.
  • It will be essential to keep school driveway clear.

2. Free lunch on Tuesday this week is baked potato lunch and cookie provided by WI and other volunteers. We will also have our regular free grilled cheese Wednesday.

3. There will be Grade 3-5 Drama practice Tuesday from 2:30 – 3:30. All drama parents/guardians are reminded that they must send written confirmation of the end of day routine for each afterschool drama practice so we can ensure everyone has a plan of getting home safely. Please ensure rides arrive for pickup at 3:30.

4. Middle School Girls host Volleyball league games (5:00, 5:45, 6:30) on Tuesday. Our girls’ play at 5:00 and 6:30. Come out and cheer them on!!  All spectators, including current students, are expected to be in the balcony or in the overflow seating on the stage. Access to other parts of the building or hanging out in the halls is not possible.  Supervision is not provided by the school. Minors should not be sent or dropped off without adult supervision; adult spectators are responsible for the direct supervision of all minors they bring with them.

5. All Middle School students travel by bus to CNHS Wednesday morning for an engaging and interactive vaping prevention assembly by Robb Holladay. We will return for mid-morning recess.  Please ensure all middle school students arrive at school on time on Wednesday so they do not miss the bus to Carleton North.

6. CCS K-8 Report Cards are scheduled to go home with students on Wednesday.   Parent-Teacher meetings are being scheduled for after school and evening on Thursday, April 11th and Monday, April 15th, 8:30 – 11:30.  There is no school for students on Monday, April 15th.
