Happy Tuesday, Cougar Families! We hope you enjoyed some memory-making on the Family Day Weekend! Here are few things to note for this week:

1. Tomorrow, Wednesday’s free lunch is pancakes and ham.  Grilled cheese will not be served, so kiddos who don’t care for pancakes and ham should bring their buckets.

2. The District Chess tournament will take place at CCS on Thursday morning.  Best wishes to all our competitors and a big thanks to Mrs. Ralston for helping them have this opportunity to learn more about a great game!

3. Thursday, Middle School students will continue important discussions around Suicide Prevention month with a guest presention. Congratulations to our Middle Schoolers, and especially our Leadership students who coordinated the wear yellow events earlier this month as CCS won a pizza party for the whole middle school for their efforts in having important conversations around this topic and focusing on strengthening communication and practices around mental wellness.

4. I apologize to the Girls’ Basketball Team for not sharing with you here or on Facebook that they had a home game this evening. I had it marked as a practice in my calendar, so that is my error. It is a very busy time for both our boys’ and girls’ teams as they finish league play and practice this week in preparation for next week’s league playdowns. Best wishes to them!!  We were excited to send both our teams to provincial play on the weekend and are very proud of their continued commitment to their teammates and their game.  Special congratulations to the girls and coaches for the Provincial banner they bring home as a result of their play on the weekend! Way to go!!

Best wishes for a great week!
